Behind PettiTheEngineer

I’m Jaeden Petti, a musician and audio engineer from Ontario, blending alternative energy with hip-hop influence to create music that’s honest, emotional, and unapologetically real. Growing up around music shaped who I am early on—from listening to my grandfather play jazz drums to spending hours watching MuchMusic and realizing I didn’t just want to hear music, I wanted to live inside it. That realization stuck with me and became the foundation for everything I do.

Since 2017, I’ve been fully committed to developing my sound and my craft. I record, mix, and master my own music, giving me complete creative control over every detail while also allowing me to help other artists bring their ideas to life. Wearing both the artist and engineer hats has taught me how emotion, technical precision, and storytelling all work together to make music connect on a deeper level.

Influenced by artists like 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Blink-182, and Lil Peep, my music lives at the intersection of vulnerability and confidence—pulling from real experiences, internal battles, and moments of growth. I aim to turn pain, doubt, and struggle into something meaningful, using raw honesty as the driving force behind every track.

Performing my first live show in 2025 and seeing the reaction to “On My Own” was a defining moment for me. It confirmed that people don’t just hear the music—they feel it. That experience reinforced why I create: to connect, to heal, and to remind others that their stories matter.

Above all, my mission is to inspire people to stay consistent, believe in themselves, and keep chasing what they love, even when doubt comes from the outside or within. If my music helps even one person feel understood or motivated to keep going, then I’m doing exactly what I set out to do.
